One aspect of the Miss America organization that truly makes it unique are the millions of hours logged by contestants across America on their platform issue. I love the work I have been blessed to do with the Special Olympics organization. The athletes I work with have taught me countless life changing lessons. I know in my heart I would not be the person I am today without having them in my life.

I served the past three years as Spokesperson for Special Olympics Louisiana Northwest Area and my duties are now expanding to a statewide level by hosting current and potential corporate sponsors at the State Games. I am also involved in media and marketing events throughout the state. I have had many opportunities through my affiliation with Special Olympics. I was humbled to be chosen by the athletes as their honorary team captain and lead them into the stadium at the State Summer Games in Hammond , LA. I also carried the Special Olympics torch and ran in the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

I will continue my work with Special Olympics and challenge everyone to get involved with a cause that is dear to your heart. It will change your life!
