Miss Louisiana Tech University 2005
Crowning moment photo by Melissa Jon Humble

One of my dreams came true in January 2005 when I was crowned Miss Louisiana Tech University, aka "Miss Tech". It is a Miss Louisiana/Miss America preliminary so I will be representing Tech in the Miss Louisiana Pageant June 13-18, 2005 in Monroe, LA. I have enjoyed every minute I have spent at Tech and will wear the crown proudly. I want to focus my energy not only on graduation, but marketing my university as well. Enjoy the pics and please visit Louisiana Tech the next time you are in Ruston, Louisiana the HOME OF THE BULLDOGS!!!
It has been such an honor to wear the crowns of Queen Dixie Gem Peach LII in 2003, and Miss City of Ruston in 2004 because I not only represented the Peach Festival and the City of Ruston , which has now become my second home, but I supported Louisiana Tech University as well. Louisiana Tech and my family have a long history together. There are many bricks in the walk of graduates with the name of Penuell on them and I will be adding my brick very soon. I spent the past three years traveling across Louisiana speaking to various organizations about the benefits of supporting Louisiana Tech Athletics. I AM A FOOTBALL FANATIC!!! Some of my greatest college memories were spent either at Joe Aillet stadium or on road trips with my friends to the away games. I have followed the Bulldogs to games such as the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise , Idaho , Clemson , South Carolina , Texas A&M, and Auburn .

Another part of Louisiana Tech that has made an impact on me as an individual has been being a part of the sisterhood of Phi Mu sorority. They have supported me in everything. My memories with them are not only fun, but also uplifting and everlasting. As you browse this section of my website, you will see pictures that will help you gain an understanding of how much I cherish my university. GO DAWGS!!!
